My 3 Tips on Scents for the Home

I'm sure I'm not the only one, who loves a nice smelling home, where they can chill and relax, but also entertain friends. 

 I'm currently living in a flat and the ventilation isn't that great even with the fan & windows open (especially in this heat) and also forgot to mention my boyfriend; which basically means smelly socks and clothes around the place. So here a few things I use around the home to keep it smelling fresh, but also homely. 

#1 Incense Sticks

I love to burn incense sticks, the scent last's long and a easy clean if any ash falls. 

Personally I prefer the handmade ethnic sticks rather than the ones you can find on high street!

#2 Scented Oils

Scented oils are my go to product when I run out of incense, I find the scent to be subtle and the oil burns for a long time. I usually put the oil burner in the living room as an accent piece. Good oils can be expensive, so if your not 100% sure about burning oils, a few places to go to that sell decent oils are Bodyshop, Habitat, Home sense & Zara Home. 

#3 Scented Candles 

This one is pretty much a no brainer and self explanatory. Candles add an extra smell to the air and just the perfect balance to a room. One of my favourite brands is Yankee Candle, the candle actually burns for long and really does give a scent in the room. 

What I love about all three of these ideas, is they are portable and during each season I can switch it up easily.

HOME TREND: LET'S GET VINTAGE

Hi Lovelies! Happy Monday! 

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend, so todays post features a never ending trend; Vintage! I know the idea of using something that has belonged to someone else is kind of daunting. But as some would say 'one mans trash, is another mans treasure' - but anyways.. I particularly love finding things for my home. In fact most of the time, I end up using my findings for something completely different.

Vintage Binoculars - Charity shop 

Vintage Camera Kiev - *was a gift



The two items I want to blab about are my vintage binoculars and kiev vintage camera (which actually still works). Me ? I LOVE a bargain(who doesn't? - I came across these binoculars a few weeks ago, while browsing in our local charity shop - the binoculars were super cheap, I think I ended up paying something like £1.50
I actually use the binoculars and case as a book end- it does the job and looks great!

The kiev camera was actually a gift to my boyfriend, but I've sort of taken it over. I just use it for 'show&tell' decor around the flat to be honest, but I'm sure in the next few months I'll find a more practical way to use it around the flat.
**Please remember you do not have trek all the way to camden or brick lane for vintage/thrifted bits!
Don't be afraid to walk in to that charity shop!

URBAN FINDS: INDUSTRIAL

A moment of silence is needed..  just take in how perfect this space is.

Best believe, I have found the most amazingly designed space. This particular space caught my mind while browsing and I just had to share it. The structuring of the windows, gives it such an airy ora. I love how the interior is not super 'matchy matchy (which is sometimes a pain to look at) because it just gives add more personality. 

The exposed brick wall, gives the space an raw textured feel, but compliments the surrounding walls.

YOUNGLIVING #1

So today has been one of those chilled days, the weathers been pretty dull and boring - Plus I had a bit of spare time and of course, I spent most the day compiling inspiration boards/collages. 

I've created a variety of collages in a inspo series, which is called 'Young Living' 

This collage is my take on 'young' living, for those who are most likely to be living ( renting) in flat or apartment and aren't really allowed to re-decorate due to lame contracts. I mainly focused on basic necessities that would instantly add texture and ora to your living space.
